Quick Start

This guide will help you get started with HanziVerse in 5 minutes.

1. Create an Account

Visit the login page, where you can:

• Email Registration - Use email and password
• Social Login - Use GitHub or Google account

After registration, you'll receive a verification email. Click the link to activate your account.

2. Enter the Learning Center

After logging in, you'll see the Dashboard, which displays:

• Daily check-in and streak count
• Learning duration statistics
• Heatmap records
• Recently learned characters
• My courses

3. Explore the Hanzi Dictionary

Click Hanzi in the navigation bar or visit the Hanzi Dictionary:

1. Browse Characters: 3,500+ commonly used characters sorted by frequency
2. Search Characters: Search by pinyin, radical, or character
3. Filter Function: Quick filtering by stroke count
4. Character Details: Click any character to view stroke animations, definitions, and pronunciation

4. Explore the Poetry Library

Click Poetry in the navigation bar or visit the Poetry Library:

1. Browse Poetry: Classic works from the Book of Songs to modern times
2. Filter by Dynasty: Tang poems, Song ci, Yuan qu, and more
3. Poetry Details: View original text, translation, and appreciation
4. Poetry Practice: Use characters from poems as practice material

5. Start Practicing

Option 1: Free Practice

Click Practice in the sidebar to enter the practice page:

1. Choose Practice Order

   • 🔢 Sequential - Learn by character frequency (can continue from last progress)
   • 🎲 Random - Randomly select characters
   • 📖 Review - Review previously learned characters

2. Choose Practice Mode

   • ✍️ Stroke Practice - Practice character stroke order
   • 🔤 Pinyin Challenge - Character-pinyin matching

3. Start Practicing

   • Watch stroke animation demo
   • Practice writing on touchpad or screen
   • Click "Next" to continue after completion

Option 2: Course Learning

Click Course in the sidebar to browse course packages:

1. Select a course package (e.g., "300 Tang Poems")
2. Click any course to start learning
3. Each lesson contains several characters to practice one by one
4. Share your learning achievements after completion

6. Idiom Wordle

Click Wordle in the navigation bar to enter the game:

1. Guess a four-character idiom based on initial hints (tones)
2. Enter your guess, and the system will provide feedback:
   • 🟩 Green - Correct position
   • 🟧 Orange - Exists but wrong position
   • ⬜ Gray - Not in the answer
3. More hints unlock after wrong guesses (initials, finals, radicals, etc.)
4. Maximum 6 attempts

7. Adjust Settings

Click the avatar menu to enter Settings:

• Profile - Change avatar, name, language
• Security - Reset password, delete account
• Learning Settings - Click the settings icon on the practice page
  • Voice settings (male/female)
  • Quiz settings (auto-next)
  • Practice depth (show/memory mode)
